Description:

Expan 500 is a mineral expander additive that when mixed with Type II Portland Cement (ASTM C-150) in certain proportions, results in a Type K Expansive Cement (ASTM C-845). The K Type cement resulting from this mix is used for manufacturing Contraction Compensator Concretes. Besides, Expan 500 may be used as an additive to manufacture low contraction concretes.

Uses and applications:

Expan 500 is dosed in different proportions based on the properties required of the concrete, mainly expansion percentage and compression resistance. Expan 500 is used for the manufacturing of expansive grouts and contraction compensator concretes, for the construction of industrial floors with no control joints, containers and storage tanks, pre-fabricated elements, etc.
